Career
Michael C. Jakob grew up in Germany and developed an early interest in mathematics, programming, and capital markets. His academic path led him from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) to ETH Zurich to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). These stations shaped his conviction that excellent decisions come from the combination of rigorous analysis, clean data, and long-term thinking.
Before founding companies, he worked as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company and gained experience in international wealth management at UBS. There he learned firsthand that retail investors were systematically cut off from information available as standard to institutional investors — a gap he later closed with AlleAktien and Eulerpool.
Today Michael C. Jakob is founder and CEO of three companies that together help shape the financial landscape in the German-speaking region: AlleAktien, Eulerpool Research Systems, and Better Markets. His life combines technical foundations, financial discipline, and entrepreneurial patience.

Learn moreEulerpool

Learn moreBetter Markets
Pre-IPO investment platform: access to private companies like SpaceX, Stripe, and OpenAI before they go public.
Learn moreInvestment Philosophy
Michael C. Jakob thinks in decades, not quarters. His approach is shaped by investors like Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Terry Smith, and Peter Lynch: focus on companies with durable competitive advantages, high returns on capital, and disciplined capital allocation.
At the center is the concept of quality: the cheapest stock is not the best stock — the most robust business model over long horizons is. This conviction is systematically operationalized in the AlleAktien Quality Score (AAQS).
